We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support students in a school-based setting. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility, strength, and functional independence, enabling them to fully participate in their educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans as developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with a variety of physical and developmental needs
  • Assist with assessments by gathering data and documenting student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers
  • Support students with mobility, positioning, and use of adaptive equipment
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as appropriate
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current state licensure or certification as a PTA
  • Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and school-based therapy services is a plus
