Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) | Powell, Ohio

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-age students across several school buildings in a vibrant educational setting. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) specializing in school-based care, you’ll work collaboratively with a virtual Physical Therapist to help students achieve their mobility and physical development goals during a key period. This placement covers a maternity leave, with anticipated service from mid-December through mid-March, plus an additional week working alongside the current PT both before and after the leave period for a smooth transition.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid PTA licensure along with experience in a school environment
• Familiarity with serving elementary-aged students
• Ability to collaborate virtually with a supervising PT
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to serve multiple elementary buildings as needed
• Positive, student-centered approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Support implementation of individualized physical therapy plans under the supervision of a virtual PT
• Provide direct interventions and progress monitoring for elementary students
• Assist in documentation, data collection, and reporting
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to help students succeed
• Adapt to varying school settings and maintain a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
