This full-time position offers consistent hours—35 per week—beginning in late August for a 12-week leave coverage, with the possibility of extension. Desired Experience and Skills:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Massachusetts
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Strong background in delivering PTA services within healthcare and school contexts
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
- Skilled at adapting therapeutic activities to suit a range of student abilities and ages
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy support services to students as directed by supervising Physical Therapist
- Implement and monitor individualized therapy plans based on student IEPs and established therapy goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and therapists to ensure optimum student support and integration within the classroom environment
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in meetings as required for student care and compliance purposes
- Contribute to an inclusive and engaging educational atmosphere through professional, compassionate care
