Key Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Previous experience with pediatric or school-based populations is highly desirable, though not required
- Strong organizational skills and clear communication
- Demonstrated collaboration abilities, especially in education settings
- Reliable transportation and readiness to travel among school sites in the district
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students as directed and supervised by the district’s licensed Physical Therapist
- Support and help implement individualized student treatment plans and goals
- Foster functional independence and promote improved mobility for students within the school setting
- Accurately document therapy sessions and student progress in compliance with school and program guidelines
- Partner actively with the supervising therapist, teachers, special education teams, and related service providers to coordinate student support
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and related activities as needed
- Consistently travel between 22 district school sites to meet student needs
