Step into an engaging contract role supporting PreK through 12th grade students as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), working 30-32 hours per week for the remainder of the school year. This position begins as soon as possible and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference within an educational environment located conveniently just an hour north of Charlotte and 35 minutes south of Greensboro.
Bring your expertise in school-based physical therapy and help students reach their developmental milestones in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. You’ll partner with licensed therapists, teachers, and families to execute individualized treatment plans and promote student success across a diverse caseload.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Active licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Experience in school environments preferred; Healthcare PTA skills highly valued
- Familiarity with developing and implementing therapy plans for children and adolescents (PreK-12th grade)
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt interventions according to student needs and educational goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic services and interventions as directed by supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist with evaluations and contribute to progress reports for each student
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary educational teams to ensure coordinated care
- Support students in achieving functional mobility and participating in daily school routines
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation per school and regulatory guidelines
