Physical Therapist Assistant in Westerville, OH

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting elementary-age students across five schools near Westerville, OH. This role centers on providing physical therapy assistance during a maternity leave, expected from mid-December through mid-March, with opportunities for collaboration and preparation before and after the leave.

You’ll enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 am to 3:30 pm, working with students who benefit most from your expertise. In this setting, you’ll support a licensed PT—including collaboration through virtual work—and help ensure a seamless continuation of care.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active PTA licensure in the state
• Previous experience working in a school setting, especially with elementary students
• Comfortable working across multiple sites within a district
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a virtual PT supervisor
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Flexibility regarding start and end dates as they are based on a maternity leave

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-school physical therapy support for elementary students
• Work closely with a virtual licensed PT to implement individualized therapy plans
• Travel between five elementary buildings to meet students’ needs
• Document student progress and communicate updates to interdisciplinary teams as needed
• Spend up to one week onboarding with the PT pre-leave, with an additional week for transition upon their return
