Step into a rewarding contract role working 1:1 with an elementary student, offering personalized behavioral and instructional support within a student-focused school environment near Anderson, TX, for the 2026–2027 academic year. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you’ll play an instrumental role in helping a young learner grow their communication, social, academic, and behavioral skills, all while working alongside committed educators and support professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering consistent, individualized behavioral and instructional support throughout the school day
  • Implementing targeted behavior intervention strategies rooted in ABA principles
  • Encouraging positive behaviors and skill development using reinforcement techniques
  • Assisting with classroom participation, daily routines, and smooth transitions between activities
  • Responding to behavioral triggers using proactive, safety-focused approaches if aggression arises
  • Supporting the development of independence, communication, and social skills
  • Collecting and documenting behavioral progress and student data as directed
  • Closely collaborating with teachers, therapists, and school staff for seamless student support
  • Helping foster a structured, encouraging, and safe learning environment

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Active RBT certification through the BACB (required)
  • Experience providing behavioral or ABA support to children (school setting a plus)
  • Training in CPI, Safety-Care, or other de-escalation/crisis prevention techniques preferred
  • A strong grasp of positive behavior-support and reinforcement strategies
  • Exceptional patience and reliability in a 1:1 setting
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
  • The capacity to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
