A behavior classroom is opening in a school located in Anniston, AL, designed to provide specialized support similar to an occupational therapy room. The position is full-time, with a schedule of 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, starting as soon as possible. This is a contract role ideal for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsibilities:
- Provide behavior support to students in a dedicated classroom setting throughout the day.
- Implement behavior intervention plans and assist students as they come to the behavior classroom.
- Collaborate with school staff and supervisors to ensure adherence to behavior protocols.
- Maintain a structured and positive environment conducive to student growth.
- RBTs will receive supervision as required, funded through a grant to support this service.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Experience working in school or educational settings is preferred.
- Ability to manage and engage students with behavioral needs effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
