Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct behavioral support to K-12 students across multiple school locations
  • Implement behavioral intervention plans as guided by Board Certified Behavior Analysts or district protocols
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and fellow support staff to ensure consistent, effective behavior management strategies
  • Document interventions and student progress with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate by modeling exemplary professionalism and empathy
  • Adapt to a variety of school settings and student needs as an itinerant, “floater” para

Qualifications:

  • Active CDE or COOL license required
  • Completion of the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) initial course, or several years of classroom experience supporting students with intensive behavioral needs
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred
  • Previous experience working as a paraprofessional in a school setting, especially with K-12 populations
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple campuses within the district
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with students and staff

This contract role spans the academic year, from August 10th to May 21st, 2027, providing the stability of full-time hours while engaging with a diverse student population.
