Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician working full-time with a focus on supporting students in a specialized educational environment near Athens, GA. This position offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 8am to 3pm, totaling 35 hours each week.

You'll work 1:1 with a student demonstrating behavioral challenges in a GNETS classroom setting, providing critical support and guidance. Ideal candidates bring their RBT certification and extensive experience supporting students displaying challenging or aggressive behaviors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Demonstrated experience working 1:1 with students displaying behavioral or developmental needs
  • Strong background in behavior intervention, preferably in a classroom or specialized school setting
  • Experience handling aggressive behaviors with calm, effective intervention strategies
  • Ability to adapt instructional approaches to individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working closely with teachers and support staff
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct ABA interventions to support the behavioral and educational goals of the assigned student
  • Implement individualized behavior management plans under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
  • Utilize de-escalation strategies to ensure a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere
  • Collect and record data on student progress, communicating observations to the supervising team
  • Support the integration of therapeutic and academic activities to facilitate student success
  • Assist in crisis management and the implementation of positive behavior supports
