Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and staff in a dynamic educational setting near Avondale, AZ. This full-time, onsite position (37.5 hours per week) begins August 6, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027, focusing on promoting positive behaviors and collaborative educational growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field; OR bachelor’s in education/special education with five years’ experience working with students with behavioral and emotional disabilities; OR master’s in education/special education with three years’ experience.
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.
  • Training or coursework in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS or PBS).
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Experience working with children with behavioral and emotional disabilities required.
  • Experience supporting linguistically and culturally diverse student populations preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train staff on effective behavioral intervention strategies within general and special education settings.
  • Help design and support coherent instruction and curriculum fostering socially acceptable behaviors.
  • Guide staff in developing and carrying out Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP).
  • Collaborate with IEP teams to ensure individual intervention plans align with student goals, and provide training and support for school personnel.
  • Observe classroom behaviors, provide written intervention feedback, and monitor progress for both students and staff.
  • Assist with the collection, analysis, and interpretation of behavioral data.
  • Participate as needed in the Teacher Assistant Team (TAT) process.
  • Facilitate meaningful parental involvement when evaluating students for special education services.
