Certified High School Registered Behavior Technician - Brenham, TX

This contract-based opportunity includes immediate start dates through the end of the school year, with a strong likelihood of renewal and the possibility of summer work. Both positions—a focus on elementary behavior support and a cross-campus/life skills support role for students with more intensive behavioral needs—require a compassionate, skilled approach and a readiness to assist students 1:1.

What We’re Looking For:

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
• Experience working with children or adolescents in school or behavioral settings
• Previous school-based experience is highly valued, but applicants with solid RBT/behavioral support experience are encouraged to apply
• For the cross-campus/life skills role, familiarity with CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and aggressive behavioral caseloads is preferred
• Comfort working in both elementary and secondary school environments
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct 1:1 behavior interventions and support as outlined in student plans
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and special education staff in elementary behavior support and life skills settings
• Employ de-escalation techniques and evidence-based strategies, particularly with more aggressive students in dedicated classrooms
• Support social, emotional, and academic development for a diverse group of learners
• Aid transition and communication among students, teachers, and families
• Track progress and maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school policies
