Registered Behavior Technician in Brentwood, CA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician for the 2026-2027 school year in a supportive educational environment near Brentwood, CA. This role involves working a standard school day (35-40 hours per week) and following the bell schedule. With multiple caseloads available, you’ll primarily support high school students in either 1:1 or 2:1 settings, tailored to various support needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) license (inactive status accepted; BCBA supervision provided)
• Minimum of 1 year of ABA experience within a school setting
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation training
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable adapting to high school environments and a variety of student needs

Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized behavioral intervention plans for students
• Provide support and encouragement to help students achieve their behavioral goals
• Record data and report on student progress to supervising BCBAs and team members
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive support for each student
• Participate actively in crisis intervention and employ de-escalation strategies when necessary
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
