Registered Behavior Technician in Brighton, CO

This contract opportunity offers full-time hours (approximately 35 hours per week) focused primarily on 2nd and 3rd grade students, with a schedule aligned to student attendance days and a few additional days dedicated to training. Preferred candidates will meet these qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or possess relevant paraprofessional experience.
• Bring at least two years of special education classroom experience in a public school setting.
• Comfortable and capable driving in mountain, canyon, and winter snow conditions—reliable transportation is essential.
• Live within Boulder County or nearby areas (Nederland, Ward, Black Hawk, Central City, Rollinsville, or Gilpin).
• Flexible team player, ready to step in and support as needed in a moderate needs setting.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, empathy, and adaptability to help each student thrive.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the instructional and behavioral needs of PK-5th grade students, with an emphasis on 2nd and 3rd graders.
• Implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of the Special Education Director.
• Providing direct support to students within classroom routines and activities.
• Collaborating with teachers, related service providers, and families to facilitate student success.
• Attending scheduled training and participating in team meetings as required.
