Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | Brighton, Colorado

Bring your expertise and passion for student support to an impactful contract assignment in a dynamic middle school setting. This full-time opportunity places you among a collaborative network of educators and specialists dedicated to delivering exceptional student services and fostering an inclusive environment. You'll engage with a manageable classroom of 10 students, work alongside two paraeducators, and benefit from on-site support provided by behavior analysts, speech and occupational therapists, physical therapists, and mental health professionals.

Key Qualifications:

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required.
• At least one year of hands-on classroom experience.
• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license, or documentation proving you’re currently obtaining it (interviews require proof).
• Adaptability and team orientation.
• Experience or certification in special education is strongly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Provide evidence-based behavioral interventions and support within a middle school special education setting.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to create positive learning experiences for students with diverse abilities.
• Monitor student progress, document data, and adjust strategies to meet individual goals.
• Contribute to an inclusive classroom with peer mentors and paraeducator collaboration.
• Foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes social and academic growth.

Details of the Role:

• Assignment runs from now until May 21st, 2027.
• Work 37.5 hours weekly (with 2.5 hours designated as unpaid lunch breaks).
• Position is on-site at a middle school near Boulder, Colorado.
• Support system includes BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, Psychologist/Social Worker, and two paraeducators.
