Step into a rewarding contract position as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) providing 1:1 support for an elementary-aged student in a dynamic school environment near Bryan, TX during the 2026–2027 academic year. In this full-time opportunity, you will build strong connections while helping a student grow in communication, social interaction, academics, and behavioral skills. You'll work closely with a supportive team of teachers, therapists, and specialists dedicated to each student's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistent, individualized behavioral and instructional support to one elementary student throughout the school day
  • Implement ABA-based behavioral intervention and support strategies according to each student's needs
  • Facilitate classroom participation and aid with transitions and daily routines
  • Identify and respond appropriately to behavioral triggers, incorporating proactive and safe management approaches
  • Promote academic engagement, social skill development, independence, and effective communication for the student
  • Accurately collect, document, and report progress and behavior data as directed
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure continuity and consistency in approaches
  • Help foster a safe, structured, and positive school setting for effective student learning

Qualifications:

  • Active RBT certification through BACB required
  • Experience utilizing ABA or behavioral support for children (school-based preferred)
  • CPI, Safety-Care, or crisis response certification strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with positive reinforcement and behavior intervention strategies
  • Patient, reliable, adaptable, and skilled in 1:1 direct student work
  • Effective communicator and collaborative team member
  • Calm under pressure and able to respond consistently to challenging behaviors
