This contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with children and young adults in a supportive school environment near Cicero, IL. Your expertise will directly contribute to creating a positive and effective learning atmosphere for students with a variety of behavioral needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or therapeutic settings
  • Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and data collection procedures meticulously
  • Collaborative approach when working with teachers, families, and other support staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
  • Collect accurate and thorough data on student progress and behaviors
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support, encouraging positive behavioral choices in classroom settings
  • Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to assessment and planning discussions
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
