Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) working with students for the upcoming 26-27 school year, with possible extension into the Extended School Year (ESY)! This contract position offers part-time hours—approximately 15 hours each week—supporting meaningful growth among learners near Cordova, SC and the surrounding Orangeburg area.
In this position, you'll bring your expertise in ABA therapy to work closely with students in school settings, helping them develop coping mechanisms and use de-escalation strategies. For the ESY segment, you will focus on providing targeted ABA support to one student. The ideal fit will have experience with functional behavior assessments (FBAs), developing and implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and showcasing hands-on skills in ABA.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Prior experience in schools or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Demonstrable competence in implementing ABA therapy, including handling challenging behaviors
- Familiarity with FBAs and BIPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and school staff
- Comfort or willingness to provide in-home services is preferred but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct ABA therapy to students according to prescribed behavior plans
- Support students’ development of effective coping skills and manage behaviors proactively
- Complete FBAs and contribute to the creation and monitoring of BIPs
- Document progress, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate updates to families when appropriate
- Provide individualized attention, fostering a supportive and positive environment for students’ success
