Registered Behavior Technician in Cranston, RI

Make a positive impact by supporting students as a Registered Behavior Technician. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with children in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classrooms, providing crucial one-on-one support. As schools prepare for the current year, extended school year (ESY), and the new school year (NSY), RBTs are in demand to ensure each student receives dedicated attention and care.

You’ll be actively involved in an enriching environment, adapting to student needs and collaborating with educators. Summer work is available, with the ESY program running four mornings a week from 8am to 12pm, and a return to full-time, 40 hours per week in the fall. Please note that BCBA support will resume in the fall, so some RBTs may have delayed start dates depending on assignments.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
• Previous experience working with children, especially those with ASD, is highly valued
• Ability to adapt and communicate effectively in a dynamic classroom setting
• Professional, compassionate, and patient demeanor

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support for students in ASD classrooms
• Attend and participate in scheduled sessions, following guidance from instructional teams
• Collect data and document progress on behavior plans
• Support classroom routines and reinforce positive behaviors
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster a nurturing learning environment
