This contract opportunity in a vibrant, integrated pre-school setting places you at the heart of a caring team, working side-by-side with a special education teacher and two paraprofessionals. You’ll focus on providing 1:1 support to a pre-school student diagnosed with autism and communication needs, helping them thrive academically and socially.

Your day-to-day will be dynamic: guiding a student who has a short attention span and abundant energy, fostering an inclusive classroom of eight young learners, and collaborating closely with experienced educators. Choose a full-time schedule for a comprehensive experience from 9:15am to 3:30pm, or opt for part-time mornings from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Experience working with young children, especially those with autism or developmental needs
  • Ability to support children with communication challenges and high energy levels
  • Background in ABA therapy highly valued
  • Collaborative mindset; ready to work as part of an integrated team
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 behavioral support guided by IEP goals and teacher directions
  • Implement individualized ABA strategies and data collection
  • Help build and reinforce communication skills
  • Assist with group activities and daily routines in the classroom
  • Model patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement
