You’ll work closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a dedicated paraprofessional, providing individualized, one-on-one support to a student exhibiting intense behaviors, with attentiveness to both attention-seeking and avoidance patterns. This collaboration ensures a consistent approach to implementing a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and encourages professional development in a team-oriented environment. With a 35-hour work week, you’ll experience a steady routine, while your dedication will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate ranging from $30 to $45, based on your expertise.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RBT certification is required
- Experience working in school settings or with elementary-aged children preferred
- Familiarity with evidence-based ABA practices and BIP implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including BCBAs and paraprofessionals
- Exceptional communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with behavioral needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one behavioral intervention to a 1st grade student within the general education setting
- Follow structured BIP protocols and collaborate with the BCBA and classroom staff
- Collect accurate data and report progress regularly
- Employ de-escalation strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
