Make a meaningful difference as a Registered Behavior Technician working with a dedicated team to support a 1st grade student exhibiting intense behaviors in a general education classroom setting. This contract opportunity near Davis, CA, provides the chance to collaborate closely with a BCBA, alongside additional support staff, to implement behavior intervention plans and foster a positive learning environment.

Key Requirements and Desired Experience:

  • Active RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification required
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
  • Ability to implement and document behavior intervention strategies
  • Skilled in de-escalation and managing attention-seeking or avoidance behaviors
  • Comfortable working one-on-one with elementary-aged children
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with educators and clinical staff
  • Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one behavioral support to a 1st grade student in the general education classroom
  • Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans as outlined by the BCBA
  • Accurately collect, document, and report behavioral data and student progress
  • Work cohesively with a team, including a paraeducator, classroom staff, and the BCBA
  • Assist with transitions, classroom activities, and maintaining a safe, structured environment
  • Model positive behavioral interventions and coach appropriate replacement behaviors
  • Attend relevant meetings and trainings as required
