Key Qualifications:

  • Active RBT certification preferred; experienced former RBTs and paraprofessionals with behavioral support backgrounds are welcome
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) in educational or clinical settings
  • Solid understanding of behavior management techniques, behavioral trigger identification, and positive reinforcement strategies
  • Prior work with middle or high-needs student groups highly desirable
  • CPI, Safety-Care, or similar crisis prevention/de-escalation training considered a plus
  • High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred
  • Ability to adhere to district hiring and background check protocols

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistent 1:1 behavioral support throughout the school day to a middle school student
  • Implement BIPs effectively under guidance from the educational team
  • Recognize and address behavioral triggers, applying proactive and de-escalation strategies
  • Accurately collect and document student behavioral data to track progress
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and related service providers
  • Support classroom participation, transitions, and social skill growth
  • Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with school standards
