Key Qualifications:
- Active RBT certification preferred; experienced former RBTs and paraprofessionals with behavioral support backgrounds are welcome
- Demonstrated experience implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) in educational or clinical settings
- Solid understanding of behavior management techniques, behavioral trigger identification, and positive reinforcement strategies
- Prior work with middle or high-needs student groups highly desirable
- CPI, Safety-Care, or similar crisis prevention/de-escalation training considered a plus
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred
- Ability to adhere to district hiring and background check protocols
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent 1:1 behavioral support throughout the school day to a middle school student
- Implement BIPs effectively under guidance from the educational team
- Recognize and address behavioral triggers, applying proactive and de-escalation strategies
- Accurately collect and document student behavioral data to track progress
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and related service providers
- Support classroom participation, transitions, and social skill growth
- Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with school standards
