A rewarding opportunity exists for a skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 behavioral support within a structured residential group home environment in El Cajon, CA. This part-time contract position involves working closely with an individual who has high behavioral needs and benefits from dedicated, consistent intervention grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.

The selected candidate will implement individualized behavior intervention plans, focusing on behavior management, skill acquisition, emotional regulation, and enhancing independence in daily living activities. This role requires a calm and confident professional who is adept at behavior reduction strategies and crisis intervention, committed to fostering positive outcomes in a residential care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, individualized ABA-based support to one resident within a group home
  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with fidelity
  • Provide consistent support throughout daily routines and community activities
  • Collect and document data on targeted behaviors and skill progress
  • Utilize approved strategies for de-escalation and crisis prevention
  • Assist with development of life skills including hygiene, communication, and social interaction
  • Collaborate with supervising Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and residential staff
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required
  • Experience supporting individuals with high behavioral needs
  • Strong knowledge of ABA principles and behavior reduction techniques
  • Comfortable with crisis prevention and intervention methods
  • Reliable, patient, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Committed to accurate documentation and protocol adherence

Schedule & Details:

  • Approximately 15 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling options including afternoons, evenings, or weekends based on client needs
  • Consistent assignment providing 1:1 support to the same individual
