Registered Behavior Technician in Elk Grove, CA

Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician supporting a first-grade student with intense behavioral needs in a general education classroom. Based near Woodland, CA, this full-time position offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated team in a collaborative, student-centered environment from now through early June 2026.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RBT certification required
• Experience working with children exhibiting intense behavioral challenges strongly preferred
• Skilled in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
• Knowledge of reinforcement strategies, data collection, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with BCBAs and paraprofessionals
• Patience, adaptability, and a calm, proactive approach to behavior support

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent one-on-one support to a first-grade student in a general education setting
• Collaborate daily with the supervising BCBA and assigned paraprofessional to deliver targeted interventions
• Implement the prescribed BIP, focusing on decreasing attention-seeking and avoidance behaviors
• Assist in data collection and reporting on student progress toward behavioral goals
• Apply positive support strategies and model appropriate behaviors
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment for the student
• Participate in training and team meetings as needed
