Registered Behavior Technician in Elk Grove, CA

Make a difference for a young learner while advancing your career as a Registered Behavior Technician. A school in the Woodland, CA area is seeking a dedicated RBT to provide one-on-one support to a first-grade student in a general education setting. In this rewarding contract role, you will collaborate closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a classroom paraeducator to implement effective behavior intervention strategies.

You’ll provide essential support to a student exhibiting intense behaviors, working to implement the student’s Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), manage attention-seeking and avoidance behaviors, and create a positive, structured environment that encourages participation and growth. Your expertise and compassion will help foster meaningful progress for this learner.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver individual support to a first-grade student in a general education classroom
• Collaborate with a BCBA and paraeducator to implement and adjust BIP strategies
• Utilize evidence-based approaches to address attention-seeking and avoidance behaviors
• Track data and report progress towards behavioral and educational goals
• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Engage with staff and caregivers to help ensure consistency in behavioral supports

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Experience implementing BIPs and managing intense behaviors
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
• Familiarity with working in a school setting is highly preferred
• Passion for making a positive impact in a child’s daily life

Pay for this position ranges from $30 to $45 an hour based on experience.
