Key Qualifications:

  • Current RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) credential is required
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • Experience working with children or adolescents with special needs, ideally in a school setting
  • Comfortable providing support as a substitute when needed
  • Ability to remain patient, compassionate, and adaptable when addressing challenging behaviors
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who have moderate to severe impairments
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies as outlined by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other school staff
  • Collect and document data on student progress and behavioral objectives
  • Support teachers and staff with classroom management techniques
  • Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies when necessary
  • Communicate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive student care
