Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | Evanston, Illinois

Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to make a direct impact in a school setting working one-on-one with a student in kindergarten through second grade. This contract role is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering positive behavioral changes and supporting young learners’ growth and success.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
• Prior experience working with children in a school or clinical environment preferred
• Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and best practices
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow treatment plans and collect relevant data
• Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in supporting students with diverse needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized behavioral support to a K-2 student in a classroom setting
• Implement instructional and behavior intervention plans under guidance of BCBA or supervising professional
• Record and report on student’s progress, behavioral data, and program outcomes with accuracy
• Reinforce skill acquisition, social interactions, and appropriate replacement behaviors throughout the day
• Adapt strategies to ensure student engagement and participation during class activities
• Engage collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families to communicate progress and address challenges
