Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | Gig Harbor, Washington

Bring your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year. This role provides one-on-one behavioral support to a student at an elementary school, fostering personal and academic progress in a collaborative educational setting located near Gig Harbor, WA.

Your daily schedule aligns with the school’s hours, offering structured times:

• Monday & Tuesday: 8:55 AM – 3:35 PM
• Wednesday: 8:55 AM – 1:40 PM
• Thursday & Friday: 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM (due to outside ABA services in the mornings)

Key Qualifications:

• Current RBT or CBT certification (must be submitted with your application)
• Any current Right Response or de-escalation training certification (required for interview consideration)
• Prior experience providing behavioral support in a school environment preferred
• Strong communication, patience, and rapport-building skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized behavioral interventions and supports tailored to student needs
• Closely monitor progress and maintain thorough documentation
• Work under the guidance of supervising professionals and participate in team meetings
• Apply de-escalation strategies and support with daily transitions
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
