Key Qualifications:
- Current RBT certification preferred, though paraprofessionals or candidates with strong experience supporting children with special needs and behavioral challenges are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working 1:1 with young children, particularly in school or educational settings.
- Background in behavior intervention plans or behavioral support strategies.
- Crisis Intervention training is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated educational team.
- Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for helping children succeed.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to an assigned first-grade student throughout the school day.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a district BCBA.
- Assist with classroom integration, help build social and academic skills, and monitor student progress.
- Document daily activities, record data on student behaviors, and communicate updates with the educational team.
- Respond quickly and effectively to behavioral incidents, using crisis intervention best practices if trained.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
