Make a meaningful impact in a school setting as a dedicated professional supporting students’ growth and success. This full-time, onsite contract role focuses on providing both 1:1 and classroom support for an elementary student in 3rd grade, collaborating closely with the district’s BCBA. The assignment runs from August 7, 2026, through May 25, 2027, aligning with the school calendar.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid RBT credential (highly preferred), or possess strong experience as a paraprofessional working with children with special needs and behavioral challenges
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in special education or related fields a plus
- Solid understanding of ABA principles and behavior intervention strategies
- Demonstrated ability to implement behavior intervention plans under supervision
- Effective communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 behavioral and academic support to a 3rd-grade student
- Collaborate with the district BCBA to implement and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans
- Assist with classroom activities, promote positive behavior, and encourage student engagement
- Collect data and maintain thorough documentation on student progress and interventions
- Support the classroom teacher and other staff as needed to ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Practice confidentiality and uphold all school and district protocols
