Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students’ behavioral growth in a dynamic educational environment near Goodyear, AZ. This full-time, onsite opportunity (37.5 hours/week, Aug 6, 2026 – May 27, 2027) seeks a skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Specialist who is passionate about helping students thrive.

What You’ll Do:

  • Train school staff in proven behavioral intervention techniques for both general and special education classrooms.
  • Design and support effective instructional strategies to encourage positive, socially appropriate student behavior.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP) for student success.
  • Work with IEP teams to create individualized intervention plans aligned with student goals, providing vital support and training to school teams.
  • Observe and document student behavior, offering written recommendations and progress monitoring for students and staff.
  • Guide collection, analysis, and interpretation of behavioral data to inform decision-making.
  • Participate in Teacher Assistant Team (TAT) processes, offering expertise as needed.
  • Facilitate parental involvement in student evaluations for special education to enhance family-school partnerships.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in education/special education plus five years’ experience with students with behavioral and emotional disabilities; OR
  • Master’s degree in education/special education plus three years’ related experience.
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required (or ability to obtain).
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Training/coursework in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS/PBS) is required.
  • Background working with culturally and linguistically diverse groups and children with behavioral needs is a plus.
