Desired Qualifications:
- Valid RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification
- Experience working as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist in educational settings
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Ability to collect data and implement individual behavior intervention plans
- Demonstrated skills in crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine dedication to supporting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized behavioral intervention strategies
- Support students in classrooms and other school environments, promoting positive behaviors and social skills
- Collect and maintain detailed data on student progress and behaviors
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to modify strategies according to student needs
- Provide ongoing feedback to the team regarding student response and necessary adjustments
- Utilize effective communication techniques with students, staff, and families
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards at all times
