Behavior Aide / Paraprofessional

Soliant is partnering with a supportive school district near Alta Sierra, California, to hire a dedicated Paraprofessional / Behavior Aide for the current school year. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in behavioral support, special education, or ABA who enjoys working directly with students and helping them succeed in the school setting.

Position: Paraprofessional / Behavior Aide
Location: Near Alta Sierra, CA
Setting: School-based
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Start: ASAP / Current School Year

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs
• Assist with implementing individualized behavior and support plans
• Provide 1:1 or small-group assistance as needed
• Monitor student behavior and recognize potential triggers or escalating behaviors
• Use positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies to support student success
• Assist classroom staff with daily activities and instructional support
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with teachers, special education staff, and other members of the school team

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children or students in a school, behavioral, special education, or related setting
• Experience supporting students with behavioral needs strongly preferred
• Former or current RBTs are highly encouraged to apply
• ABA, behavior technician, paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or similar experience is a plus
• Strong communication, patience, and adaptability
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative school team
