Registered Behavior Technician - Groton, CT

You will work Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, providing personalized assistance that empowers students to thrive academically and socially. Compensation for this position ranges from $22.43–$30.23 per hour, reflecting your expertise and commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 behavioral and educational support to a high school student participating in a special education program.
• Implement tailored behavior intervention plans and skill-acquisition programs under the guidance of a qualified supervisor.
• Facilitate students’ growth in communication, socialization, academic abilities, adaptive, and independent living skills.
• Provide ongoing support in the classroom and during extracurricular activities, encouraging inclusion and engagement.
• Collect and accurately record behavioral data and progress on skill acquisition.
• Contribute to a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment by following established procedures.
• Assist students with transitions, daily routines, and participation in school activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or eligibility to obtain/maintain certification.
• Completion of RBT training and competency standards.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass required background checks and school-specific clearances.
• Experience working with children or adolescents with special education needs.
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior intervention techniques, and data recording.
