In this position, you will join a dynamic school-based environment not far from Hartford, working directly with students to help them develop new skills and navigate classroom routines. Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans, monitoring progress, and delivering compassionate, data-driven care.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in school or clinical settings
  • Strong understanding of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) principles and techniques
  • Ability to develop rapport with students, educators, and families
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Capacity for adaptability and professionalism in diverse classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of BCBA or lead therapist
  • Support students in achieving behavioral, social, and academic goals
  • Collect data and record observations accurately for ongoing progress evaluation
  • Collaborate with instructional staff and participate in team meetings
  • Provide direct one-on-one or small-group support to assigned students throughout the school day
  • Model appropriate behaviors and reinforce positive choices
  • Participate in relevant training sessions and professional development opportunities
