Registered Behavior Technician in Heflin, AL

A K-12 educational institution in Heflin, AL, is seeking a qualified professional to support a newly established behavior classroom designed to serve students in a similar manner to an occupational therapy room. The position offers a full-semester contract with full-time hours—6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Candidates should hold certification as either a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The behavior classroom will function as a centralized space where students come throughout the day, and the selected candidate will be present in the room to provide consistent support.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct behavioral interventions and support to students within the behavior classroom
• Collaborating with school staff to implement individualized behavior plans
• Supervising activities and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment
• For RBTs, working under appropriate supervision as specified, due to grant-funded program requirements
