Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Experience implementing behavior intervention plans in school settings
- Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and renewal (RBT renewal eligibility required for NSY 26/27)
- Skill in working one-on-one and in group situations with children and adolescents
- Excellent communication, observation, and record-keeping abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized behavioral support under the direction of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other supervising professionals
- Implement evidence-based interventions to help students demonstrate appropriate behaviors and achieve academic/social goals
- Collect and document data on student progress and behavior
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
- Support students with transitions, de-escalation, and coping strategies as needed
- Participate in ongoing training, meetings, and required certification renewal activities
