Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting an elementary student with behavioral and instructional needs in a vibrant school community near Iola, TX. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you’ll engage in meaningful, one-on-one work that truly makes a difference throughout the 2026–2027 school year. This key role offers the chance to nurture a student's communication, social, academic, and behavioral development through evidence-based intervention in a structured, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver individualized 1:1 behavioral and instructional support to an elementary-aged student
- Employ ABA-based strategies to reinforce positive behavior and foster essential skills
- Implement and monitor customized behavior intervention plans
- Help the student navigate classroom routines, transitions, and participate fully in learning activities
- Recognize and proactively respond to behavioral triggers, including use of de-escalation techniques
- Support student independence, communication, and social interaction
- Collect and document data on behavioral progress and interventions
- Collaborate daily with teachers, therapists, and educational staff to ensure consistency and progress
- Contribute to a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Active RBT certification (BACB required)
- Previous experience providing ABA-driven or behavioral support to children
- School-based setting experience is highly valued
- CPI, Safety-Care, or other crisis intervention training strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of positive reinforcement and proactive behavior management
- Patience, reliability, and comfort working in a close 1:1 relationship
- Effective communicator and team player with a calm, consistent approach
