A school in Jacksonville, AL is seeking a dedicated professional to support a newly established Behavior Classroom designed to serve students needing specialized behavioral interventions. This opportunity is ideal for either a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who thrives in a focused, student-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a classroom space dedicated to behavioral support, similar to an occupational therapy room.
- Provide direct behavioral interventions to students referred throughout the day.
- Collaborate with school staff and oversee appropriate behavioral strategies.
- For RBTs, receive and integrate supervision to ensure quality care aligned with grant funding requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and intervention plans.
- Work Monday through Friday, 6 hours per day, ensuring consistent support for students.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Experience working in school settings or with children requiring behavioral support.
- Ability to manage a specialized classroom independently.
