Desired experience and qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, especially in educational or behavioral health settings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under supervision
  • Skills in data collection, analysis, and accurate documentation
  • Flexibility, patience, and a commitment to student success

Core responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one or small group behavioral interventions using evidence-based techniques
  • Collect and record data on student behavior and responses accurately
  • Work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other school professionals to follow treatment protocols
  • Model positive and proactive behavior support strategies for teaching staff and families
  • Support students in classrooms, common areas, and during activities as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on students’ progress
  • Respond effectively and professionally to challenging behaviors, employing de-escalation techniques when necessary
