Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | Longmont, Colorado

Step into a meaningful role supporting young learners as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or experienced paraeducator in a vibrant, close-knit mountain community. This contract opportunity is based at a small elementary school nestled at the base of beautiful peaks, serving students in moderate-needs classrooms—primarily working with 2nd and 3rd graders. You’ll report directly to the school principal and Special Education Director, making a daily impact from approximately 8:30am to 3:30pm, following the student academic calendar with just a few extra training days each year.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or paraeducator experience
• At least two years of experience supporting special education in public school environments
• Adaptability and strong teamwork skills
• Demonstrated experience with mountain, canyon, and winter weather driving; reliable transportation is a must
• Preference for candidates residing in Boulder, Nederland, Ward, Black Hawk, Central City, Rollinsville, Gilpin, or Boulder County areas

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and behavioral interventions to elementary-aged students (PK–5), focusing on 2nd and 3rd graders in moderate needs classrooms
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrative staff
• Maintain progress notes and data collection to inform individualized education plans
• Contribute positively to a supportive, inclusive classroom culture
• Participate in staff training and professional development as needed
