Take the lead in making a meaningful difference for students with autism by bringing your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician to a dynamic school-based setting near Lowell, MA. Beginning as soon as possible, this full-time contract role will continue through the remainder of the current school year, with potential for extension based on district needs. You’ll play a vital part in supporting high-needs students, providing direct behavioral and classroom support in a structured special education environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Prefer prior experience in school-based roles and with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex behavioral profiles
- Proficient with implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), behavior tracking systems, and de-escalation techniques
- SafetyCare training is highly desirable
- Strong teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration with educational and multidisciplinary colleagues
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 and classroom-based behavioral support to students with significant behavioral and communication challenges
- Implement and monitor tailored Behavior Intervention Plans and data collection protocols
- Provide crisis prevention and intervention as needed, maintaining a safe and supportive classroom climate
- Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and therapists to adapt strategies and optimize student progress
- Contribute to team meetings, care plan updates, and family communication as appropriate
