Make a difference as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting students in an elementary setting near the beautiful California coastline! This contract opportunity calls for RBTs experienced in working with high intensity or high magnitude behaviors, particularly within Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten Autism classrooms, and up to 4th grade. The district is seeking several additional RBTs to join their dedicated team, reflecting tremendous community support and a deep commitment to student success.
You’ll work closely with an onsite BCBA team that is famously supportive—many travelers return year after year thanks to the collaborative culture and exceptional supervision provided. Your expertise will be valued, and BCBA supervision will be consistently available throughout your assignment.
Location details: This position offers convenient access to cities like Seaside and Watsonville, as well as Monterey Bay. Enjoy being just an hour south of San Jose and roughly 90 minutes from the San Francisco Bay area.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Prior experience working with K-4 students exhibiting high intensity/magnitude behaviors highly preferred
- Demonstrated reliability and commitment to contract work
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to start 8/3/26 for the upcoming school year
- Willingness to work 35 hours per week
What You’ll Do:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support for students in TK, K, and elementary autism classrooms
- Implement student-specific behavior intervention plans
- Collect and record data on student progress
- Collaborate daily with BCBAs and school staff
- Adapt and support individualized student needs
