A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students in transitional kindergarten through 4th grade within an elementary school setting near Marina, CA, and the surrounding areas, such as Seaside and Watsonville. This contract assignment begins August 3, 2026, and focuses on delivering direct support to students with autism spectrum disorder in classroom environments.

Candidates for this position must have demonstrated expertise handling high intensity and high magnitude behaviors within a school environment. The school district is recognized for its incredibly supportive on-site BCBA team and maintains a strong track record of retaining effective professionals. Ongoing BCBA supervision is provided directly by district staff to help you develop your skills, with a solid history of contract renewals for high-performing candidates.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RBT certification required
  • Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred
  • Must have worked with students exhibiting high magnitude behaviors
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy in challenging situations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one or small group ABA interventions in TK through 4th grade autism support classrooms
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as created by the BCBA
  • Collect and document data for student progress and program effectiveness
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, district BCBA, and support staff
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment for all students

Pay ranges from $30 to $33 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
