Make a significant difference in the school community by supporting a single student as a Registered Behavior Technician for the remainder of the current school year through June 10, 2027. This full-time contract opportunity runs Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, with a 30-minute break for lunch. You’ll provide one-on-one behavioral support in a school setting, working closely with a student who exhibits significant behavioral challenges, including physical behaviors such as hitting.

Successful candidates bring a strong background supporting students with intensive behavioral needs and are confident applying targeted behavioral management interventions. Your ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor and communicate effectively will be essential in this role.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required
  • Experience working one-on-one with students displaying aggressive/challenging behaviors
  • Skillful with positive reinforcement strategies, data collection, and implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans
  • Adept at de-escalation techniques and maintaining a safe, structured environment
  • Exceptional patience, resilience, and a strong sense of empathy
  • The district is seeking male RBTs for this particular student pairing

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistent 1:1 support and behavioral interventions to the assigned student
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student goals are met
  • Collect and maintain detailed data on student behavior and progress
  • Assist the student in navigating classroom routines and transitions
  • Uphold all school and district behavioral protocols and guidelines
