In this full-time position, you’ll provide essential 1:1 and small group behavioral interventions, helping students succeed academically and socially. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through May 22, offering you a chance to develop valuable relationships and skills over the remainder of the school year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Experience in school-based settings, preferably within middle school classrooms
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and behavior intervention
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, colleagues, and families
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and document progress accurately
- Aptitude for working both independently and within a collaborative team atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 behavioral support to students, implementing Individualized Education Plans under the guidance of supervising BCBA or school staff
- Support small group instruction, ensuring all students receive attention and encouragement
- Collect data and observations, tracking student progress to tailor support
- Collaborate with teachers and fellow support staff to adapt strategies for student success
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality within the classroom and broader school community
