Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and making a difference in school communities near Navasota, TX! The current need is for a dedicated, certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work across elementary, middle, and high school settings, providing essential 1:1 and group support to students.

There are two distinct placements available: one focused on elementary behavior support, and another supporting cross-campus and Life Skills programs with a focus on students who may present more aggressive behaviors. Candidates with CPI certification or previous experience on aggressive caseloads are encouraged to apply for the latter.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RBT certification required
  • Preferred: Experience in school settings and/or behavioral support roles, especially with elementary, middle, or high school students
  • For Life Skills support: CPI or direct experience with more aggressive students strongly preferred
  • High level of professionalism, adaptability, and compassionate communication
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with students and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group behavioral interventions in assigned classrooms
  • Assist in both an elementary behavior classroom and Life Skills environments
  • Implement individualized support plans developed by BCBA or school staff
  • Collect data and document progress toward behavioral goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school personnel to maximize student success
  • Provide supportive interventions during behavioral escalations, using crisis management and de-escalation techniques as needed

This position begins as soon as possible and will run through the remainder of the academic year, with the strong potential for renewal and summer assignments. Typical hours are 7:15am–3:30pm, with possible slight daily variations.
