Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | New Britain, Connecticut

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification required
• For Paraprofessionals: Current Connecticut Para Certification and direct experience in autism program classrooms
• Proven ability to engage with children exhibiting severe ASD
• Willingness and comfort in supporting toileting needs, including diapering
• Strong observational, communication, and behavior intervention skills
• Compassion, patience, and resilience in dynamic classroom settings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group behavioral support for students with ASD
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under supervision
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and classroom staff
• Monitor and document student progress and behavioral responses
• Assist with daily routines including hygiene, toileting, and classroom transitions
• Promote positive, supportive interactions to help students thrive
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
