Step into a rewarding summer opportunity supporting the Autism Program as a Registered Behavior Technician for the 2026 Summer Program near New Castle, DE. This contract position calls for compassionate and skilled RBTs available to work at Richardson Park Elementary or Marbrook, providing essential 1:1 and group support to students with autism. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping children build independence and experience meaningful growth during the summer session.
What You’ll Need:
- Active RBT Certification (must be valid at the time of application)
- Proven experience in school-based or pediatric/elementary settings preferred
- Demonstrated ability to support students requiring physical intervention, following prescribed safety protocols
- Familiarity with classroom-based data collection techniques for behavior and performance tracking
- Willingness and commitment to participate in bathroom duties, including toileting, diapering, and personal hygiene assistance
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work onsite throughout the full summer program
- Availability for all program and professional development days
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct behavioral interventions and implement individualized plans under the supervision of a BCBA
- Accurately collect and record data on student behaviors, interventions, and outcomes in a classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school professionals to ensure positive, consistent support
- Participate actively in all professional development and training sessions
- Support and maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive learning atmosphere
Program Schedule:
- PD Days: June 23 & June 24, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Program: July 6 – August 6, Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (28 hours/week)
