This is a full-time contract role supporting elementary and/or middle school students, with steady hours aligning to the school day and a focus on collaborative care. Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
- Active Delaware PARA Permit (both required before start)
- Prior school-based experience strongly preferred, especially working with elementary-aged children
- Demonstrated experience with physical intervention strategies for students as needed
- Ability to collect and accurately report on behavioral and instructional data in the classroom
- Reliable transportation to and from the school location
- Comfort and competence performing essential bathroom duties, including toileting and hygiene assistance
- Flexibility to support changing classroom assignments as district needs evolve
- Commitment to full scheduled hours (Elementary: 8:45am–4:15pm, Middle: 7:50am–3:20pm; no late arrivals/early departures permitted)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 and group behavioral support to students in the Autism program
- Implement behavior plans under direction from supervising staff
- Track and report data on student behaviors and interventions
- Assist in daily classroom routines, adapting to evolving needs
- Provide direct support with personal care tasks such as toileting, diapering, and hygiene with respect and professionalism
- Participate actively as a team member, ensuring student safety and dignity at all times
