Step into an impactful opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician supporting an Autism Program for the upcoming academic year. This is a full-time contract role supporting elementary and/or middle school students, with steady hours aligning to the school day and a focus on collaborative care. Your expertise will make a direct difference for students, providing vital behavioral and instructional support in a structured, team-centered environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
  • Active Delaware PARA Permit (both required before start)
  • Prior school-based experience strongly preferred, especially working with elementary-aged children
  • Demonstrated experience with physical intervention strategies for students as needed
  • Ability to collect and accurately report on behavioral and instructional data in the classroom
  • Reliable transportation to and from the school location
  • Comfort and competence performing essential bathroom duties, including toileting and hygiene assistance
  • Flexibility to support changing classroom assignments as district needs evolve
  • Commitment to full scheduled hours (Elementary: 8:45am–4:15pm, Middle: 7:50am–3:20pm; no late arrivals/early departures permitted)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and group behavioral support to students in the Autism program
  • Implement behavior plans under direction from supervising staff
  • Track and report data on student behaviors and interventions
  • Assist in daily classroom routines, adapting to evolving needs
  • Provide direct support with personal care tasks such as toileting, diapering, and hygiene with respect and professionalism
  • Participate actively as a team member, ensuring student safety and dignity at all times
