As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a crucial role in fostering growth and independence for students with unique learning needs. This full-time contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Compensation for this opportunity ranges from $22.43 to $30.23 per hour, reflecting your experience and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized 1:1 behavioral and educational support to a high school student within a special education setting.
- Implement evidence-based behavior intervention plans and skill-acquisition programs under the supervision of a qualified expert.
- Support students as they build communication, social, academic, adaptive, and independent-living skills.
- Provide behavioral guidance in classroom and group activities, assisting with transitions and established routines.
- Collect, document, and maintain accurate behavioral and skill-acquisition data.
- Adhere to all classroom, behavioral, and safety protocols to ensure a positive, structured learning environment.
- Participate fully in classroom activities, supporting the holistic needs of the student.
Required Qualifications:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or eligibility and willingness to obtain/maintain certification.
- Completion of relevant RBT training and competency requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and obtain necessary school clearances.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults with special education needs; experience in special education is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), data collection, and behavioral intervention strategies.
